Highest on eBay so far!

Coming to you now from the "holy shit!" and "that was fast" files is this: one of my Vampirella sketch cards going for -what I believe is- the highest price a card of mine ever has on eBay! Today (Friday) is also the first day after the set went live, so it seems the seller really didn't waste any time in his/her attempt to cash in. On the other hand, another Vampirella card of mine is going for $0.99 so I guess it all depends on who likes what. Just thought it was nifty and that I'd share.

Melodie - She Could Just Eat You Up

It's zombie Melodie! Ain't she sweet? She could just eat you up! Zombie portrait commission a mother requested of her two-year old daughter. I've never zombified a kid before - frankly I don't see the problem.

Zombie Portraits - Lindsey & Sean

Two new zombie portrait commissions - one of Lindsey and one of my good friend, Sean. Lindsey's eyes looked so nice in the reference picture that I figured at least one should be gouged out, and Sean's an academic so he really does love you for your BRAIINS!!! Ottawa Small-Press Book Fair

Successful Saturday at the Ottawa Small-Press Book Fair! The fair was held at the Jack Purcell community centre between noon and 5pm on Saturday, June 25th and there was actually quite a good turnout! Here are a couple of shots - the first is me with my good pal, Sean Moreland. Sean was selling copies of his book, Postscripts to Darkness (for which I did two illustrations), as well as a couple of his other independently published works.
The second picture is me with Jesse Dangerously - co-founder of the "nerdcore" hip-hop movement along with MC Frontalot and MC Chris. Amazingly friendly guy - it was a pleasure meeting him.

 

Brave Astronaut Album Cover 2

Here are the finished images for the newest album coming soon from Brave Astronaut. I was asked to draw the band fighting off hordes of angry, sixties-style robots in an apocalyptic landscape. I'm happy to report that they were stoked with the way it all turned out. I created the image on 11x17 paper, which also gives them the option of using it for a poster. Here are samples of what the poster and album cover will look like - with and without the logo - as well as the original finished line-art.

STAR WARS GALAXY 6 Return Cards!

Here they are - my Star Wars: Galaxy 6 hobby and retail return cards! If anyone is interested, the price for the full-colour hobby cards is one-hundred dollars ($100) each; fifty-dollars ($50) each for the retail return cards. I also have three (3) BLANK hobby return cards available for commission - they are one-hundred dollars ($100) each.

ZVC: Zombies Ate My Neighbors

Latest commission for Chris - he snagged two of last few Zombies Vs. Cheerleaders return cards to make this puzzle card. He requested the characters from the classic video game, "Zombies Ate My Neighbors." It was a tonne of fun to draw and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Avengers Sketch Cover - Captain America

Sketch-cover commission for Chris. On his Avengers: Variant Edition No. 1, he requested a WWII Captain America with bullets bouncing off his shield. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out; stoked with how my ricochets came out. Lemme know whatcha think!

I See Something Dreadful!

Legends & Lore

Two new sketch-cards I just finished up as part of a commission for Chris - he requested the god Anubis and The Phantom of the Opera. These two were done on old artist proofs from the Legends & Lore set from SadLittles (back when that was still a company). These two look WAY better in person.
