So, on October 29th, 2011 I was at Paradise Comics in Toronto for my first ever signing - it was a good time! Special thanks again to Doug for arranging the whole thing, as well as to Marvin Law and DK for the chatter. Barrie Examiner Interview - Oct 29, 2011!

In case you missed it, I was featured in the Barrie Examiner this weekend (Saturday, October 29th, 2011)! I was interviewed as a local artist - the focus being on Dreadful comics, sketch-cards and my custom zombie portraits. Dreadful Comics at Paradise Comics - Signing!!!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!  I, Mark Slater, will be having my first-ever official signing at Paradise Comics today - October 29th, 2011 - between noon and 5pm!!! 

 

Items I will have for sale include:  

- Dreadful - issues one and two,

Dreadful in Stores 6 - Paradise Comics

On the advice of my good friend, Ken Wheaton, I stopped in to Paradise Comics - located at 3278 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario. Doug, the manager - being the awesome person that he is, had a gander and bought six copies of "Dreadful" issue 2! They will go on sale in the store as of Wednesday, August 31st (Happy Birthday to me indeed)!

Dreadful in Stores 5 - Blue Beetle Comics

As of yesterday (August 23rd, 2011) Blue Beetle Comics - located at 241 Essa Road, Barrie, Ontario, is carrying ten copies of issue 2 of Dreadful! Special thanks to Alice-Ann and Pete for their continued support!

Dreadful in Stores 4 - Heroic Dreams

Fourth and final stop of the day: Heroic Dreams - located at 1211 Kingston Road, Pickering, Ontario. They're currently stocking ten copies of issue 1 and twenty-five copies of issue 2 of Dreadful! Special thanks goes to Adam Phillips, owner of Heroic Dreams for his continued support and contribution towards the printing of issue 2!

Third stop of the day: The Comic Room - located at 659 McCowan Road, Scarborough, Ontario. They're currently stocking ten copies of issue 2 of Dreadful!

Dreadful in Stores 2 - The Silver Snail

Second stop of the day: The Silver Snail. Located at 367 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario - just east of Spadina. The kind folks at the Silver Snail (special thanks to Cody!) agreed to carry ten copies of both issues 1 and 2 of Dreadful! And look - proof that Dreadful's on the shelf!

Dreadful in Stores 1 - The Beguiling

First stop of the day today: The Beguiling. Located at 601 Markham Street, Toronto, Ontario - just around the corner from Honest Ed's on Bathurst and Bloor. They agreed to carry three copies of issues 1 and 2 of Dreadful. Hurry in and get yours before they're gone!

Here it is, check it out: the newly created cover to DREADFUL, issue #2 !!! The book will ONLY be available at table A-125 at FanExpo 2011 in Toronto (August 25th to 28th) or by special order through me. If interested, shoot me an email, subject heading, "Dreadful 2". This caught my eye when I last visited the Cult-Stuff website. Look at the left-hand side! There it is, officially! The Dreadful base-card! And what's even better is that you can get yours in the Monsters, Zombies & Freaks set that will soon be available! Visit Cult-Stuff for more details!

Forgot to post this awesome little gem - on February 19th, fellow Dreadful artist Lance Sawyer had an in-store signing in California to promote his art and the book! Check out these fliers showcasing Dreadful in an actual comic store window!

The good folks at Cult-Stuff are graciously providing Lance Sawyer and I with some free promotional space for our book, Dreadful - using this image and one of Lance's as base-cards. On the back of each of these cards will be the original Dreadful cover, with all the important information on where to go to order a copy and how to commission us.
