So, on October 29th, 2011 I was at Paradise Comics in Toronto for my first ever signing - it was a good time! Special thanks again to Doug for arranging the whole thing, as well as to Marvin Law and DK for the chatter. Sold some books, had a few laughs, and did a couple of sketchs; see you next time!

 

 

 

Barrie Examiner Interview - Oct 29, 2011!

In case you missed it, I was featured in the Barrie Examiner this weekend (Saturday, October 29th, 2011)! I was interviewed as a local artist - the focus being on Dreadful comics, sketch-cards and my custom zombie portraits. Dreadful Comics at Paradise Comics - Signing!!!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!  I, Mark Slater, will be having my first-ever official signing at Paradise Comics today - October 29th, 2011 - between noon and 5pm!!!

Interview with TGT Web-Comics Podcast!

On Monday, October 24th, I did an interview with Kurt Sasso of TGT Webcomics! Kurt and I met at FanExpo 2010 where he interviewed Lance and I. On October 18th, 2011, I will be doing an interview with the good folks at the Barrie Examiner - they're kindly granting me some promotion for my Zombie Portraits, 31 Days of Halloween sketch-cards and Dreadful comics, just in time for Halloween! Bizarre Comics Pocast!

This just premiered yesterday - Bizarre Comics Podcast, Episode 21 featuring an interview with me, Mark Slater! Kris and Sean, who I met at Fan Expo 2011 (they had the table next to mine), were kind enough to have me on to talk about Dreadful as well as my zombie portraits and sketch cards. North Bay Nugget Zombie Portraits!

Earlier this month I was commissioned by some of the good folks at the North Bay Nugget to draw each of them as a zombie in time for Halloween! Here are the results!(Click on each image to enlarge.) If anyone is interested in commissioning a zombie portrait for themselves, the price is $40 for a single figure; $60 for two figures. Hope ya digs!
