Dreadful in Stores 6 - Paradise Comics

On the advice of my good friend, Ken Wheaton, I stopped in to Paradise Comics - located at 3278 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario. Doug, the manager - being the awesome person that he is, had a gander and bought six copies of "Dreadful" issue 2! They will go on sale in the store as of Wednesday, August 31st (Happy Birthday to me indeed)!

Dreadful in Stores 5 - Blue Beetle Comics

As of yesterday (August 23rd, 2011) Blue Beetle Comics - located at 241 Essa Road, Barrie, Ontario, is carrying ten copies of issue 2 of Dreadful! Special thanks to Alice-Ann and Pete for their continued support!

Dreadful in Stores 4 - Heroic Dreams

Fourth and final stop of the day: Heroic Dreams - located at 1211 Kingston Road, Pickering, Ontario. They're currently stocking ten copies of issue 1 and twenty-five copies of issue 2 of Dreadful! Special thanks goes to Adam Phillips, owner of Heroic Dreams for his continued support and contribution towards the printing of issue 2!

Third stop of the day: The Comic Room - located at 659 McCowan Road, Scarborough, Ontario. They're currently stocking ten copies of issue 2 of Dreadful!

Dreadful in Stores 2 - The Silver Snail

Second stop of the day: The Silver Snail. Located at 367 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario - just east of Spadina. The kind folks at the Silver Snail (special thanks to Cody!) agreed to carry ten copies of both issues 1 and 2 of Dreadful! And look - proof that Dreadful's on the shelf!

First stop of the day today: The Beguiling. Located at 601 Markham Street, Toronto, Ontario - just around the corner from Honest Ed's on Bathurst and Bloor. They agreed to carry three copies of issues 1 and 2 of Dreadful. Hurry in and get yours before they're gone!

Fan Expo 2011 is a mere TWO WEEKS AWAY and my table location has finally been announced! Any and all wishing to pick up some awesome comics, sketch cards and zombie portraits, look no further than table A125!!! Click on the image for a larger view.

Atom Bombman

I was commissioned this week by a drummer from Guelph by the name of Adam Bowman. Apparently he frequently goes by the nickname, "Atom Bombman" and, as such, was looking for someone to create a classy, funky, superhero likeness. I was more than happy to oblige!  Here are the results: one simple, classic superhero pose and one in which Atom Bombman is presenting his trusty drum-stick nun-chucks.
 

 

Slut Walks, Radical Cheerleaders and Stereotypes...

Here are a few of the images I recently finished for a professor at Carleton University in Ottawa! She was writing a book on (among other things) dispelling the myth of the stereotypical man-hating lesbian, and she asked me to create the illustrations! As I understand it, these will soon be copyrighted through the University of Toronto Press, so I figured I should post 'em now before it's too late.
